Specifically an IT Audit allows practices and practitioners to make informed decisions on their Information Systems based on detailed, documented evidence and informed analysis.

The audit carried out by Clinical Computer Services concentrates on the following aspects of a practice's Information System:

• IT hardware such as computers, monitors, printers and scanners are adequate
• Software such as Windows, Office and others are up-to-date
• Virus protection is installed and up-to-date
• Backup routines and systems are adequate, robust, documented and tested
• Internet connections are reliable, adequate and cost-effective

At the end of the IT Audit you will be provided with a detailed report of your current system with analysis and recommendations for development of your IT systems to help you decide where to concentrate efforts and expenditure in order to have a system that can cope with current and future demands.
